The Melbourne Cap

The Melbourne Cup was born following the quest of the Victoria Turf Club to put on a "good handicap" which would rival its counterpart, the Victoria Jockey Club. While 1860s racing administrators were enthusiastic and visionary in many ways, not in their wildest dreams would they have thought the Cup would become what we know it today - the greatest 3200 metre handicap horse-race in the world. And the Melbourne cap strated on 6/11/2007 in Melbourne.

In just over 24 hours, of course, that race that stops the nation will be under way. Up to 120,000 people, apparently, are getting ready to attend this year's Melbourne Cup and the organisers say it's probably going to be the biggest crowd in the race's 140-year history. Again this year, of course, a large contingent of international horses competing, the highly-fancied Far Cry and Arctic Owl amongst them.

Making a chinese food

Today,I show everyone to making chinese food Salt and Pepper Shrimp,I like it,because it is very delicious!
Fristly ingredients:
1 pound medium shrimp (about 25 shrimp), head removed, deveined, but not shelled
2 to 3 tablespoons tapioca starch or cornstarch, as needed
1 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black, white, or Szechuan peppercorns
4 cups oil for deep-frying
Secondly preparation:
Soak the shrimp in warm, lightly salted water for 5 minutes. Rinse in cold water, drain and pat dry with paper towels. Lightly coat the shrimp with the tapioca starch or cornstarch. In a small bowl, mix the salt with the freshly ground peppercorns and set aside.Heat the oil to 360 degrees Fahrenheit in a deep fat fryer, heavy saucepan with deep sides or a second wok.

About Bundeena

Bundeena is found in the North-East corner of the Royal National Park, on the Southern edge of Port Hacking. It is a perfect place to spend a quiet day away from the city of Sydney, as it is only a 20 minute ferry ride from Cronulla.

Jump onboard the small ferry at Cronulla and enjoy the views as you cruise over to Bundeena, or head South on the Princes Highway and in through the town of Loftus. However you get there, it'll be worth it. Bundeena is a small community within a national park that is based around the waterfront, with beautiful views in all directions.

Bundeena Included is a section on Stanwell Park (incorporating Otford, Helensburgh and Stanwell Tops), a wonderful area just south of the Royal National Park with much in common with Bundeena. Much of the information included here is found in the Northern Illawarra Visitors Guide which can be picked up in the Northern Illawarra and at various tourist offices around the state.

Bundeena now has it's own market. Co-inciding with the Art Trail, Bundeena's Markets by the Sea on Horderns Reserve is where you can pick up a bargain and stop and chat with the locals on the first Sunday of the month.

We can do many things in Bundeena.

There are some great hotels in Bundeena. We suggest Bundeena Bowling & Sports Club Co-operative Limited and Bundeena RSL Memorial Club Limited.

There are some great sports and adventure activities to participate in. We suggest Fishing - Bonnie Vale, Jibbon and Horderns beaches, Bundeena Tennis Courts and Bundeena Sea Kayaks.

Good food and good wine are part of life's necessities, therefore don't leave without trying some (or all!) of these places. We suggest Bundeena Bowling Club Bistro, The Fringe, Cafe Manna, Club Bundee, RSL Chinese Restaurant, The Fish Exchange, Mayne Cookhouse and Passionfruit Cafe.

Blogs are usually (but not always) written by one person and are updated pretty regularly. Blogs are often (but not always) written on a particular topic - there are blogs on virtually any topic you can think of. From photography, to spirituality, to recipes, to personal diaries to hobbies - blogging has as many applications and varieties as you can imagine. Whole blog communities have sprung up around some of these topics putting people into contact with each other in relationships where they can learn, share ideas, make friends with and even do business with people with similar interests from around the world.
